About Ana

Ana Silvera is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for her lyrical and emotive works of “lavish, vivid imagination” (Metro), as well as her intriguing collaborations across form and genre. As a solo artist, she’s released several EPs and albums – most recently The Fabulist (2022) - as well as her choral song-cycle Oracles (2018), a piece that was nominated for a British Composer Award (BASCA).

Current projects (as of 2026) include a new album of original songs (in pre-production); Songs We Carry with Palestinian Oud maestro Saied Silbak exploring the Ladino songs of Ana’s ancestry and the Arabic folk songs of Saied’s tradition and a new EP entitled difficult loves with acclaimed London-based string duo Balladeste.

Commissions include composing work for Royal Ballet (UK), The Roundhouse, Estonian TV Girls Choir, Concerto Caledonia, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Jewish Music Institute. Music has been featured most notably on BBC R4, R3 & R6, P8 (Danish National Radio), NHK (Japan), NDR, SWR (Germany) & RTÉ (Ireland).

She is also in demand as an educator with a dynamic and playful approach, and has facilitated song-writing workshops and masterclasses at Dartington International Music School, Imperial College London, The Poetry School, South West Music School and Kent University.

Social justice work includes giving workshops for organisations such as Freedom from Torture and Z2K as well as being a founder member of Soteria Network UK which advocates for non-medicalised treatment for acute mental distress.
